Statement:
My paintings grow out of a fascination with telling the story of landscape and figure. I have an abiding interest in aspects of people and environments that may go overlooked such as bits of earth, industrial sites, and silhouetted figures. I return to how wind, sky, and water constantly alter my perspective of the subject. Composition, color, and abstraction guide this exploration to evoke the emotional and contemplative.
